Covid-19 could increase risk of developing Parkinson's disease: study

Nov 07, 2020 11:57 IST

According to a new report published in 'Trends in Neurosciences', experts suggest that those who have been infected with the novel coronavirus could be at a greater risk of developing Parkinson's disease later. Researchers analysed 3 cases of Parkinson's-like symptoms in people within weeks of getting Covid-19. These three patients between the ages of 30 and 60, had respiratory infections requiring hospitalisation, but none of them had a family history of Parkinson's.
