Coronavirus has been found in air samples of wards inside Covid hospitals, according to a study by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad and Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTech), Chandigarh. Air samples of non Covid hospitals did not seem to have the virus. The study further stated that the categorisation of hospitals as 'Covid' and 'non Covid' has been beneficial in the fight against the virus. It added that the chances of contracting Covid from the air depends on a number of factors like exposure time and number of positive patients in the room.
