Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his first 'Mann Ki Baat' of second term, said that only 8 per cent of rain water is harvested in India. Modi also stressed on need of the hour to conserve water as drought looms large in vast parts of the country. Pitching for a movement for conserving and preserving water similar to Swachh Bharat, he appealed to people to create awareness on water conservation, share information of traditional water conservation methods and individuals or NGOs working to save water.
