Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has officially confirmed that its new OnePlus 8 series of smartphones will be launched to the public on April 14. Following the trend of other launches during the ongoing pandemic, it will be an online-only event, livestreamed via the OnePlus website and official YouTube channel 8:30 PM IST onwards. The firm also confirmed the presence of 5G support with this new series, that is expected to feature at least two new devices, including a Pro model like previous years. A 120Hz refresh rate screen has been teased, with a host of rumoured specifications doing the rounds of social media, including quad camera setups and an official IP rating.
