Comments on Danish Kaneria taken completely out of context: Akhtar

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar clarified his statement regarding Danish Kaneria, saying that his comments were taken completely out of context. Akhtar via his YouTube channel said that it was just a couple of players who passed raciest remarks on Kaneria but it was never encouraged. The 44-year-old added that Pakistan as a nation did not let such discriminatory thoughts prevail. We stopped it there. We have improved a lot as a society in the last 10-15 years. On Thursday, Shoiab Akhtar had alleged that there were many who did not want Kaneria to be part of the Pakistan team because he was a Hindu, following which Kaneria said that there were a few players who targeted him, but he was never pressurised to change his religion.
