Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has suspended the collector and Superintendent of Police of Guna after a couple were assaulted by police during an anti-encroachment drive. A video of the incident that has gone viral shows the couple drinking pesticide in front of the police when they bulldozed their crops in an attempt to remove them from the plot. The administration claims the plot of land the couple were farming on belongs to the govt. The video also shows police trying to push them into the jeep and beating them. While the Chief Minister said that there will be a high-level inquiry and the guilty will not be spared, former CM Kamal Nath slammed him and called his rule 'jungle raj'.
