The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked Attorney General KK Venugopal to clarify claims on allegations that the farmers’ protest is being supported by a banned organization. The apex court added that if a claim on Khalistanis infiltrating the protests is being made on record then the Attorney General must confirm it. The court has asked Venugopal to file an affidavit by Wednesday. Attorney General Venugopal said IB reports will be furnished as proof that Khalistani supporters infiltrated farmers' protest and added the government cannot allow one lakh protesting farmers to come into the national capital. The CJI then quizzed the AG on whether it is not in his power to check the number of people, and see if they are armed or not, and if there is an infiltration by a banned organization.
