Abu Dhabi based City Football Group that owns Premier League side Manchester City has announced that they've bought 65% stake in Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC. This will be the group's 8th football team across the world. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor will now become a minority stakeholder in the team. City Football Group has investments in major national football leagues running in England, Uruguay, Spain, Japan, China, United States and now in India. It's a major boost for Mumbai City FC as they've reached the semifinal of the league twice but have never lifted the silverware in the ISL.
