According to a new report published in the renowned journal Lancet, India is one of the countries with the highest number of childhood cancer cases along with China, Pakistan and Indonesia. The Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD) assessed childhood and adolescent cancer burden in 195 countries. The study puts the annual toll of childhood cancer at over 11 million years of healthy life lost globally in 2017.
