A unique 'Tree Ambulance' service was launched in Chennai to provide care to trees. From first aid treatment to removal of dead trees and aiding tree plantation, the service can be availed through a helpline number. It was flagged off by Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu in order to increase the green cover in the city. The ambulance will be equipped with a plant expert and helpers armed with manure, pesticide and gardening.
