Chandigarh student designs 'health tracker' for pets (bank)

Feb 12, 2020 08:58 IST

Could this be called a fitbit for pets? A Chandigarh-based B-Tech student has designed a health tracker for pets. 'Petit' is a collar for pets that can track their health, location and activity in real time by using a mobile application. Jai Chachra came up with the idea when his own pet fell sick. With the help of the collar, owners can come to know when the pet's health statistics do not fall in range and medical treatment is required. Chachra hopes to launch something for wildlife sanctuaries as well to prevent poaching of animals.
