Taking VG Siddhartha's side, Biocon founder Kiran Shaw Mazumder lashed out at the Centre for its rigorous system of financial probes. Biocon CMD in an interview with CNN-News18 said that the country is witnessing a shift from 'license raj to inspector raj' which is stifling the formal sector. During the interview she mentioned that the government needs to communicate with honest businessmen and the effort to clean up the corporate sector has to be carried out in a phased out manner. The CCD founder before going missing, in a letter alleged harassment by former DG, Income Tax in the form of attaching of shares on two separate occasions to block the MindTree deal and then taking possession of Coffee Day shares. Shaw added that the helplessness of the current financial stress is felt by entrepreneurs across companies.
