In a big verdict in the Babri Masjid demolition case, a special CBI court on Wednesday acquitted all the accused in the case. 32 people, including LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharati, were accused of criminal conspiracy. Special CBI judge SK Yadav ruled that the demolition on December 6, 1992 was not a pre-planned conspiracy. The court further said that the leaders present at the event tried to stop mob from bringing down the mosque. The court also stated that the CBI failed to prove the veracity of the audio and visual evidence it placed. It said that the mosque was demolished by anti-social elements and there was no criminal conspiracy behind the demolition.
