The International Gymnastics Federation has banned cat makeup for all gymnasts. The move comes after a Dutch gymnast Celine van Gerner wore makeup inspired from Cats The Musical at a Championship in UK. The exact statement from FIG states that 'Face painting is not allowed. Any make-up must be modest and not portray a theatrical character whether animal or human'. The news has yet again brought up the issue against policing women's bodies in sports.
