In a series of quick developments, Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party suspends Councilor Tahir Hussain from the primary membership of the party on Thursday. This after the Delhi Police booked him for his alleged involvement in the murder of an IB officer Ankit Sharma during the Northeast Delhi violence. Ankit Sharma, who worked for the Intelligence Bureau, had gone missing on Tuesday and his body was found in a drain near his home in northeast Delhi's riot-hit Chand Bagh area on Wednesday. His family members claim that the local councillor and his associates were behind the killing. But the AAP leader denied any involvement in the riots or the killing of the officer saying the accusations are baseless.
