Maruti has launched the 2019 version of its Ignis hatchback in India with minor updates and more safety features. The funky hatchback now gets roof rails on the top Zeta and Alpha variants, with a slight bump up in prices as well. In order to comply with upcoming safety norms, the 2019 Ignis now gets reverse parking sensors, co-driver seatbelt reminder and a speed alert system which are now a part of its standard safety kit. There are no mechanical updates and the hatchback continues to be offered with a petrol powertrain only. The 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder engine comes paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Ignis is sold via premium Nexa showrooms in the country.
