Indian cricket team’s head coach Ravi Shastri has said that the knock played by Ajinkya Rahane in the 1st innings of the 2nd test was the turning point of the match. Shastri said that Rahane showed great character in his innings that lasted around 6 hours. ‘When Rahane went out to bat, we were 2 down for 60, and then to bat six hours. It was also the toughest day to bat, because it was overcast all day and he batted with unbelievable concentration,’ Shastri said. He also spoke on the difference in captaincy styles of Virat Kohl;I and Ajinkya Rahane. Shastri said that while Kohli is very passionate, Rahane is calm and composed and that has a calming influence on the team and the youngsters. Shastri was speaking after India beat Australia by 8 wickets in the 2nd test in Melbourne to level the test series.
