Canada has tightened rules for foreign travellers after it detected cases of the UK Covid strain in the country. The travellers will require a negative Covid-19 test before being allowed into the country, the government announced on Wednesday. The PCR tests will need to be conducted within three days of boarding a flight, officials added. Upon arrival travellers will still have to quarantine for 14 days. Last week Canada halted entry of all flights from Britain over the new virus variant.
