Contrary to the trend of announcing Playing XI a day before a Test match, Team India decided to play it safe and deferred naming their troop for the final Test in Brisbane vs Australia. Coach Vikram Rathour confirmed that the team won't be announced as they are monitoring the fitness of many players. Without naming any, Rathour confirmed that the players will be given as much time as possible to get fit before the Test match starts. With the management fighting against time to get the troops ready for one last challenge, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin are still in contention to play as the outcome of the match will decide where the Border-Gavaskar trophy goes after this series. Keeping India's poor record in Brisbane in mind, the Team Management will be desperate to field the best possible XI in what could be one of the toughest challenge on this tour which has been nothing short of a roller coaster of emotions.
