Jos Buttler pulls out of 4th Test against India for birth of 2nd child, Chris Woakes to return

Buttler has decided to skip the match for the expected arrival of his 2nd child.

While English cricketer Jos Buttler has pulled out of the 4th Test against India, Chris Woakes has been recalled for the Oval Test, as confirmed by the English and Wales Cricket Board.

Buttler who had earlier announced his decision to miss the remaining IPL, has decided to skip the match for the expected arrival of his 2nd child.

In his absence, Johny Bairstow will take on the wicketkeeping job, and Sam Billings will also be included in the squad as a wicketkeeping cover, the board said.

On the other hand, Woakes has not played a Test since last August due to his heel injury and will likely play for his side in the upcoming 4th Test which begins on 2nd September.
