Scientists from RMIT University in Melbourne have discovered a new technology to pull Co2 from the air and turn it into coal. The research, published in the journal Nature Communications, provides a guide to convert the greenhouse gas into a solid carbon form. It's called carbon sequestration and will help fight climate change. They used liquid metals as catalysts to turn the gas at room temperature. The gas is then charged with an electric current, which converts it into solid flakes of carbon.
