Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal may have openly objected to the Novak Djokovic-led Professional Tennis Players Association, but India's top tennis stars Rohan Bopanna and Sumit Nagal have joined the movement.
World number 1 Djokovic along with Canadian tennis star Vasek Pospisil sought to create a separate players' representation body by detaching themselves from the ATP Players Council.
They sought support to form the body and said that it was needed to promote, and represent the interests of its players and protect the future of tennis.
Djokovic also posted a picture that had a total of 64 players on the tennis court to announce the formation of the association and Bopanna and Nagal were among them.
Nadal though opposed the initiative and tweeted to say that the world is living in a difficult and complicated situation and it's time for unity and not separation.
