BJP releases ‘Mamata tape’: Is even CM’s phone tapped, asks TMC

Apr 17, 2021 15:38 IST | By Editorji News Desk

The Trinamool Vs BJP over alleged audio tape of Mamata Banerjee has taken an uglier turn. With the PM refering to the alleged audio tape, the Trinamool is asking if even the chief minister of a state is under surveillance? The party has accused the BJP of tapping Mamata's phone. The BJP had on Friday released an audio tape of a conversation purportedly between CM Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Sitalkuchi candidate Partha Pratim Ray that, the BJP claimed, occurred in the immediate aftermath of last Saturday’s CISF firing in which four people were killed.
The tape has the female voice asking “Partha” to “keep the bodies so that the party could hold a rally with the dead”. It is then heard asking “the Trinamool candidate” “to tell the families not to take the bodies home”.
