Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been put in charge of the Bihar assembly elections by the BJP. The announcement came after party president J P Nadda met Bihar BJP leaders to discuss the three-phase polls. While making the announcement the BJP said Fadnavis will soon hold talks on seat sharing with allies JD(U) and LJP. With LJP's young chief Chirag Paswan issuing ultimatums to the BJP over seats and frequently criticising Bihar CM and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar, the former Maharashtra chief minister has his work cut out for him.
The election to the Bihar assembly will be held on October 28, November 3 and 7, with counting of votes on November 10.
