Bill in Lok Sabha seeks ban on non-veg food at govt events

A Bharatiya Janata Party member has introduced a Private Member's bill in the Lok Sabha that seeks a ban on serving of non-vegetarian food in government meetings and functions. Parvesh Verma, who represents West Delhi, introduced the bill. Pertinently, bills introduced by parliamentarians, who are not ministers in the government, are called private member bills.
