The Bihar police on Friday stopped RJD MLAs outside Rabri Devi’s residence as they were marching towards Gopalganj district and pleaded them to disperse and follow social distancing norms. The MLAs were summoned by party leader Tejashwi Yadav, who had earlier given an ultimatum that he would march, if JD(U) MLA Amrendra Pandey was not arrested. Tehashwi demanded a ‘special session’ of the Assembly to discuss the Gopalganj triple murder. The RJD backlash is in response to open firing at RJD leader JP Yadav and his family that killed the leader’s parents and younger brother. In the FIR registered, JD(U) MLA Amrendra Kumar Pandey and his family have been named. An SIT has been set up to investigate the murders but the police have not nabbed the JD(U) MLA yet.
