Bihar to host India's first museum biennale

Feb 04, 2021 13:48 IST

The Bihar Museum is all set to host India's first museum biennale on the 22nd of March, which is celebrated as Bihar Divas. Originally slated to be a three-month event, it will now run from the 22nd to 28th of March 2021, owing to Covid-19 restrictions. The museum will host a virtual conference. The aim of the biennale is to bring a 'museum culture' to India.  Two curated exhibitions on the Bihar Museum and highlights from the state’s 19 museums, will be a part of the biennale.  Some of the participating museums include the Assam State Museum and City Palace Museum in Udaipur.
