Bharti Airtel reported a wider-than-estimated consolidated net loss of ₹2,866 crore in the April-June quarter. The telco had reported a net profit of ₹97.30 crore in the same quarter last year. It witnessed an exceptional loss of ₹1,469 crore due to migration from 3G to 4G network. However, Bharti Airtel's EBITDA earnings surged nearly 25% to ₹8,493 crore while margins rallied over 800 points to 41% year on year. Average rate per user for the telecom giant rose 5.1% to ₹129 compared to ₹123 quarter on quarter. Total income of the company also rose to ₹20,738 crore year on year while total user base declined by 10.9% from last year.
