Bezos, Musk to help NASA land on Moon again

Jul 31, 2019 18:00 IST

With its next moon mission in the pipeline, the US space agency NASA has selected 13 firms, including Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin and Elon Musk's SpaceX to develop space technology for the mission. NASA is preparing to land humans on the Moon for the second time by 2024 with the Artemis mission and, later, the Red Planet. NASA will collaborate with these firms to provide expertise, facilities, hardware and software at no cost. While Bezos' Blue Origin will collaborate with NASA's Johnson Space Center, Musk's SpaceX will join NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
