In the wake of rising number of Covid cases in India, Bengaluru municipal agency chief Manjunath Prasad has warned that that lockdown will be imposed if there is any laxity in following safety restrictions. He made this statement at a meeting attended by officials, civic body doctors and joint and special commissioners.
State Health Minister K Sudhakar, has ruled out the possibility of another lockdown in Karnataka, but has instructed all commissioners to engage more number of marshals to monitor Covid protocols. Karnataka shares border with Kerala and Maharashtra, which have recorded rise in cases. This is a cause of worry for officials as many travel to work in and out of the state along the border.
