BCCI announces annual player contracts, big names lose out

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Thursday announced the Annual Player Contracts for Team India for the period from October 2020 to September 2021. While skipper Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah continue to be the only 3 players in A+ category, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been pushed down from A to B grade. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been upgraded from B to A and Shardul Thakur has also added to the B category. While leg spin duo of Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have been shifted to the C category along with Shubman Gill, Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav have lost their central contracts with the BCCI.
