Babar Azam smashed his 11th ODI ton and his first one at home to help Pakistan register a crushing win in the 2nd ODI vs Sri Lanka in Karachi. After electing to bat first, Pakistan relied heavily on Babar Azam who capitalised on the good 71 run opening stand by Fakhar Zaman & Imam ul Haq. Babar scored 115 off 105 balls and took Pakistan closer to the magical 300 run mark. A late flourish right towards the end from Haris Sohail and Iftikhar Ahmed helped Pakistan post 305/7. In reply, Sri Lanka were reduced to 28/5 as Usman Shinwari ran through their top order. A 177 run stand for the 6th wicket by Shehan Jayasuriya & Dasun Shanaka got the Islanders back in the game but Shinwari returned to mop up the tail and finish with figures of 5 wickets for 51 runs. Pakistan won by 67 runs to take an unbeatable 1-0 lead in the series with 1 match left.
