Financial auditor at Nissan had repeatedly questioned the firm on transactions made to former chairman Carlos Ghosn which are at the heart of corruption charges. Nissan which have largely pinned the corruption allegations on Ghosn and Greg Kelly, according to a report, had responded saying the transactions were appropriate and proper. The revelations showed that Nissan knew about purchases of luxury homes for Ghosn and later alleged ousted chief of masterminding the under-reporting of pay to the tune of 44 million dollars.
