A 110-year-old woman, Kerala’s Variyathu Pathu successfully fought the coronavirus to become the oldest Covid survivor in the state. She had showed minor symptoms, following which she was admitted to a Government Medical College Hospital in Manjeri, from where she was discharged on Saturday.
Her recovery marks a major achievement in Kerala’s fight against coronavirus.
Kerala, on Friday reported 2,543 new COVID-19 cases. This was the first time that the state registered over 2,500 COVID-19 cases in a single day, informed Health Minister K. K. Shailaja.
