Brace yourselves! An asteroid, with a diameter between 22 and 49 metres will pass the Earth on the 1st of September, in a distance closer than Earth from the Moon, NASA has said.
Though listed as a potentially hazardous asteroid, NASA has confirmed in a tweet that 2011 ES4 poses no danger of hitting the Earth this time and is likely to pass by at 45000 miles. NASA has estimated its speed to be around 8.16 kilometres per second.
The asteroid was discovered in 2011 and passes by Earth every nine years.
