Artist creates stunning optical illusion portrait of Guru Nanak

Nov 30, 2020 08:18 IST

To commemorate Gurpurab, a visual artist from Chandigarh has created an optical illusion portrait of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Varun Tandon used 551 'Ek Onkar' in 13 different colours to create the portrait. When the 6 ft by 4 ft piece is seen from a distance, one can see Guru Nanak Dev Ji but on taking a closer look, you see Ek Onkar written.

Tandon used 1102 iron nails and it took 7 days to create the piece which is now displayed at the Gurudwara Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib in Chandigarh.
