England fast bowler Jofra Archer underwent a surgery on his right hand on Monday as he suffered a cut to his hand while cleaning his fish tank at home in January, shortly before flying to India to prepare for the Test series.
According to England's director of cricket Ashley Giles, the surgery was successful and the doctors found a small fragment of glass still in the tendon, which was removed.
The 25-year-old will also need a further injection for the right elbow injury that had declared him unfit for selection for the ODI series in India. Rajasthan Royals' Archer will also miss a few IPL games.
