Apple sued over irregular heartbeat detection in Apple Watch

According to reports, a US-based doctor has filed a lawsuit against Apple alleging that the tech giant is willfully violating a patented method for detecting atrial fibrillation in its Watch. New York University cardiologist Dr Joseph Wiesel claimed that he notified Apple about the patent in September 2017 but the company “refused to negotiate in good faith” leaving him with no choice, but to file the lawsuit.
