First IPL player takes a knee in solidarity with BLM campaign

Mumbai Indians' Hardik Pandya in Sunday's defeat against Rajasthan Royals became the first IPL player to take a knee at the ongoing tournament in a show of solidarity towards the Black Lives Matter campaign. The 27-year-old who smashed 60 from 21 balls, celebrated his half-century in the 19th over by taking a knee with his right arm raised, extending his support towards the movement against racism. He later took to Twitter to share the picture of the gesture which he captioned as Black Lives Matter.
