Apple dominates wearables market

Apple has taken the wearables market by storm, thanks to the Apple Watch and AirPods. According to IDC data for Q3 2019, the tech giant captured 35 per cent of the entire wearables market and is miles ahead of Xiaomi and Samsung, which have 14.6 per cent and 9.8 per cent market share respectively. IDC predicted that in 2019, ‘earwear’ accounted for 45.7 per cent of the wearable market, and that share is expected to increase to 56 per cent in the next five years.
