An ancient four-wheeled ceremonial chariot, almost fully intact, has been discovered by excavators in a villa near Pompeii. The discovery of the bronze and tin chariot is being hailed as 'extraordinary' by the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.
Reports say the chariot was mostly used for festivals and parades and not daily. The chariot has not just stood the test of time, but also several instances of robbery and the collapse of parts of the room that housed it.
Experts will now conduct a lengthy restoration process of the chariot.
