Ambulance catches fire in Guwahati

In an unprecedented incident, an ambulance caught fire while transporting a patient at Guwahati’s Jatia area on Monday afternoon.

According to sources, the ambulance bearing registration number "AS01JC7128" caught fire due to a mechanical glitch.

The ambulance was carrying a patient from the Ganeshguri area in Guwahati to Kahilipara.
No one was injured including the patient.

Speaking to the Sentinel, Dispur ACP Himanshu Prasad Das said, "The ambulance caught fire due to mechanical defect. Fire brigades successfully douse the fire. The patient and driver are safe, however, the ambulance is completely damaged."
