Amazon made over $100 billion in sales as pandemic rush continues

Apr 30, 2021 08:43 IST | By Editorji News Desk

The world's richest man Jeff Bezos just got richer as e-commerce giant Amazon reported earnings above the street estimates clocking in a $108 billion in sales mark up 44% for the Jan-March quarter.

And the good news is not over the company that expects to see even higher revenues in the coming quarter. Amazon expects to post revenue between $110 billion and $116 billion for the April-June period.

Amazon Web Services saw net sales of $13.5 billion during the quarter, up 32% year over year. Amazon doesn’t disclose advertising sales, but it’s included in the company’s “Other” category, which saw its revenue grow 77% year over year to $6.9 billion.
