The unprecedented security advisory amid intelligence inputs of terror threats, which has asked all tourists and Amarnath Yatra pilgrims to return from Kashmir reportedly set off panic in the valley. Reports say people were seen rushing to ATMs, and medicine stores to stock up on essential supplies. Long queues were also reported at petrol stations in Srinagar. Not just Kashmir, the Punjab government has also sounded a high alert on the international and inter-state borders. Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has directed the Pathankot district administration to ensure the safe return of Amarnath Yatris from the neighbouring state.
