Alma mater National School of Drama has condoled the demise of Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan & said that the theatre has lost one of its meritorious members. NSD further said in its statement said that the actor's death is a big loss to the Indian art and cinema fraternity. It was NSD that helped Irrfan find a footing in Indian cinema when Mira Nair picked him for a small role in 'Salaam Bombay'.
