With three allies having deserted the NDA ship just months ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Bhartiya Janata Party is working to bring in new political partners in to the ruling amalgam. Since the election defeat in three Hindi heartland states, some of the NDA constituents have openly expressed displeasure with the saffron party. "It is true that certain smaller allies like Kushwaha have decided to leave us, but we are working on bringing new allies into our fold, especially in south India and the eastern India," senior BJP leader Ram Madhav said.
