Akshay Kumar denies he's reduced fees by ₹30 crore for 'Bell Bottom'

Jun 14, 2021 17:48 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Actor Akshay Kumar has dismissed a news report that claimed he has reduced his fees. The report said that Akshay had agreed to reduce his fees by ₹30 crore for his upcoming spy thriller 'Bell Bottom'.

The original Bollywood Hungama report said that producer Vashu Bhagnani had asked Akshay to reduce his fee, to which the actor had agreed. The report also claimed that Akshay had quoted a salary of ₹117 crore upfront for the film, which he later elevated to ₹135 crore for the rest of his 2022 slate.

While Akshay Kumar didn't confirm the actual figure in his tweet, he called the report 'fake' and wrote it felt like waking up to fake scoops!'

"Bell Bottom" stars Akshay Kumar as the lead character, with Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in other prominent roles.
