In a big move in thawing the relationship between telecom giants Mittal and Ambani, Airtel has signed a deal to sell spectrum worth Rs 1,497 crore to Reliance Jio.
The agreement gives Ambani backed Jio rights to use spectrum in the 800MHz band in three circles through spectrum trading. The agreement is for Delhi, Mumbai and Andhra Pradhesh.
Jio will acquire 3.75 MHz in Andhra Pradesh, 1.25 MHz in Delhi, and 2.5 MHz in Mumbai.
