The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our aviation ecosystem has been unprecedented and dramatic. The industry has to prepare to facilitate recovery and gain back consumer confidence. The governments worldwide should endeavor to lift quarantines from various countries to gradually open travel without mandatory self-quarantines. Consumers must be reassured that travel is safe again. The main factors governing the decision on travel in the current scenario are - Government regulation and restrictions ; airline cleanliness and the airport environment. Surveys quote that 75 percent of business travelers have expressed a willingness to return to travel in the future. Airlines & airports have concentrated on cleanliness and measures to enable passengers to fly. Basic social distancing is not a very practical solution in the air, measures like middle seat vacant, protective gears, and sheets separating the proximity have been implemented along with air filtration system, anti-microbial coatings, and more. Aviation is still considered the safest form of transportation.
