As Covid-19 cases continue to spike in Goa, the Airports Authority of India has issued fresh guidelines for people travelling to and from the state.
It is now mandatory for people arriving to undergo either 14-days home quarantine or paid institutional quarantine however there are some conditions.
In case visitors arriving are able to produce a negative Covid-19 test from ICMR approved labs not older than 48 hours prior to arrival, they will be exempted.
The AAI directive also added that for those opting for home quarantine, pre booking of accommodation&nbsp;is compulsory for the stay and proof of the same must be generated.
Tourists will undergo basic screening at the airport and anyone showing symptoms will have to undergo a Covid-19 test. They can opt for a swab test at the airport which will cost ₹2000.Institutional quarantine will be mandatory until the test results are out.&nbsp; In case a passenger tests positive for the virus, they will have to follow the required protocols.

As Singapore gradually re-opens its borders, authorities are finding unique ways of ensuring people comply with Covid-19 quarantine norms. From the 11th of August, incoming travellers from select countries, who are allowed to self-isolate at home, will be required to wear an&nbsp;electronic monitoring device.
The device, which uses&nbsp;GPS and Bluetooth signals, will alert wearers with notifications that must be acknowledged. Any non-compliance will be reported to authorities.&nbsp;
South Korea and Hong&nbsp;Kong are making use of similar schemes to help contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.&nbsp;
In Singapore, those aged 12 years and under will not be required to wear the device. As of now, there is no information on what the device looks like but according to reports, it does not store any personal data and has no video or audio recording system.&nbsp;

Before the Ram temple comes up in Ayodhya, the city will get a new temple-like railway station in about two years.
The Railways has increased the budget of the redevelopment of Ayodhya station from Rs 80 crore to over Rs 104 crore this year.
Railway minister Piyush Goyal tweeted on Sunday: &ldquo;For the crores of devotees visiting the Ram temple, Railways is redeveloping the Ayodhya station under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.&rdquo;
The current Ayodhya station, which also looks like a temple, was earmarked for redevelopment a few years ago. The new design retains the temple-like look and adds a host of amenities besides increasing capacity to handle more crowds. The new station building will more toilets, dormitories, ticketing and circulating areas etc.

Greece is cautiously reopening its tourism industry, despite tough new coronavirus restrictions that came into force this week.&nbsp;
Most of the new restrictions are unrelated to tourism. They include a strong recommendation that people attending church services wear face masks.

The Andaman and Nicobar administration has decided to impose a complete lockdown on weekends beginning August 1 to contain the spread of coronavirus. The strict restrictions will be in force on Saturdays and Sundays till the Covid-19 situation improves, Chief Secretary,&nbsp;Chetan B Sanghi, said in an order issued on Tuesday.

According to a PTI&nbsp;report, the&nbsp;Uttarakhand Devasthanam Board on Friday issued a revised standard operating procedure allowing asymptomatic persons from outside the state to undertake the&nbsp;chardham yatra&nbsp;but with certain conditions. People from outside the state must undergo the RT-PCR test from an ICMR-authorised lab and provide a negative report&nbsp;72 hours prior to their arrival. They will also have to procure an e-pass from the Devasthanam Board. Those who have not undertaken test will have to mandatorily undergo quarantine before applying for an e-pass, the revised SOP says.&nbsp;Pilgrims will have to carry the e-pass, a photo ID card and the RT-PCR test report in original while travelling to the Himalayan temples.

Gurugram-based air carrier SpiceJet&nbsp;has shared that it has been designated as the "Indian scheduled carrier" to operate flight services to the UK from India in a filing.&nbsp;On Thursday, the airline was allowed to fly on India-US routes by the governments of the two countries under the bilateral air services pact.&nbsp;SpiceJet gets the nod to fly to the UK at a time when all international commercial air passenger services are suspended since March 22 due to coronavirus&nbsp;pandemic-related restrictions. However, various evacuation and charter flights are being currently operated to fly back stranded Indians in various countries and also transport foreign nationals, who are stuck in India, to their countries.

Budget carrier SpiceJet on Thursday said it has been designated as the "Indian scheduled carrier," to operate flights to the US. This will make&nbsp;SpiceJet&nbsp;the first Indian budget carrier to operate services to the United States. Currently, only the national carrier Air India is operating flights on India-US routes.&nbsp;As of now, all international commercial air passenger services are suspended since March 22, in the wake of travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.&nbsp;SpiceJet Chairman &amp; MD Ajay Singh said this would help the airline in planning its international expansion in a much better and calibrated manner. The airline will fly to the US under the air bubble agreement that the govt of India has with certain countries as part of its diplomatic arrangements.

Come August 1, Seychelles will be welcoming tourists from countries classified as "Low Risk&rdquo; and &ldquo;Medium Risk&rdquo; in terms of the Covid-19 pandemic. While India does not fall in either category, people from China, Japan, Thailand, Spain, Greece and Denmark among others will be allowed in the African island nation. Visitors will need to present a&nbsp;negative PCR test result to be able to enter and no resort hopping is allowed among other health precautions. Seychelles has reported about 100 Covid-19 cases.

Air New Zealand has unveiled flat beds in economy class for some of its long-haul flights and it could revolutionise economy travel. The 'Economy Skynest'&nbsp;includes six full-length lie-flat sleep pods and is a result of three long years of research and development. Each pod comes with a pillow, blanket and curtains. Further details on the launch of the skynest&nbsp;or its location in the aircraft have not been revealed, but the final decision is awaited in 2021.&nbsp;
